So dress regret is real and it sucks. I haven't decided what to do and I've already bought (and can't return) one dress, but I figured I might as well explore other options since I have time. I like it a lot, specifically in the ways that it's so different from my current dress. My sister (MOH) is coming over this weekend to help me get a shot of the back/train before I have to send it back. Honestly, my only complaint on this dress is that there isn't any sparkle on it. Not that big of a deal but I do love a glittery skirt! Also doesn't hug my waist near enough, but that would obviously be taken care of with the custom sizing.

I posted this partially because I wanted to see what you guys thought of this dress, but also to share my wedding dress experience (so far) with Azazie! It only took a week to get to me, it's a really beautiful dress (especially for the price if I end up buying it), and it was packaged very nicely in a garment bag with the return label at the bottom of the box! If you have your eye on a dress on Azazie, definitely splurge the $15 to give it a try!

To be honest I love the dress you bought more than the one you are trying on!!!!!! I know it's an elusive thing, being in love with ur dress, and it's impossible to pin point what really makes u feel amazing about one dress and not another but.... If I were to choose I'd choose the one bought!!!!

Thanks for your input Renay!! I do agree that the dress I have is pretty and I do like the back, but like you said, I feel like I should love it and love the way I feel in it. I'm so glad you found the right dress and I hope you find a buyer for your first dress! Smiley heart

That's awesome that it all worked out for you. I've expressed my feelings to my sister (MOH) and she's been trying to talk me down and get me to tell her exactly what I don't like about the dress I have, which is really helpful to have someone logic through it in a pretty emotional decision. I started to like it a little more when I picked it up and tried it with a petticoat, but it still just wasn't great, I just felt better about it and decided to suck it up. Then I browsed on Azazie and found two a lot closer to what I imagined myself in (this being one of them). I told FH about my doubts (haven't shown him either one) and how I could justify buying this one since it's on the cheaper end of wedding dresses and this morning he said "you only get to do this once, so do it right. I'm going to think you're beautiful in anything you choose, but I want you to feel beautiful."

I've got a lot of thinking to do lol Smiley smile

Thank you!! I'm really starting to love it, even without the sparkle. I'll definitely look into some sparkle options though Smiley smile

Thanks for your input, I appreciate the honesty! I do think the dress I have is pretty, I'm just not getting that "wow" factor from it that I wish I would. My dressing room attendant told me that not all brides have that "oh my gosh this is the one" moment (which I do think is true), but that sorta made me give up on having that feeling so I just bought the one I liked the most after trying on 6 or 7 dresses. I definitely have some thinking to do before I buy another dress, especially considering I can't return this one. If I do get another dress, I'm hoping David's Bridal would at least let me exchange for a store credit!

It really is beautiful on you! Have you thought about what jewelry or accessories you would like to wear on your wedding day? Perhaps this is where you could add some sparkle into your look?

I LOVE IT. I am between cocomelody and azazie. They both kind of function the same and have some gorgeous dresses. I am going to go to David's bridal and try on a couple of different silhouettes to see what flatters me the most, but as a curvy girl i may go with a trumpet style.

the dress is gorgeous on you. Love love love it.

The Azazie dress looks so much like my dress! It's beautiful on you! You can always add some sparkle with a belt! The belt I got for my dress has silver jewels and pearls on it! But I love that style! The original dress is also super pretty on you but if you don't feel like it's what you really want, I say get the Azazie one! Go with your gut. You don't want to look back at your pictures and regret your dress.

I haven't thought about jewelry/accessories yet aside from a chapel/cathedral length veil I'm considering. It could definitely be a way for me to amp up the sparkle, thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you so much!! I'm so glad Azazie has such an easy "try before you buy" process, I'd highly recommend it if you're considering them! They have so many beautiful gowns at a fraction of retail pricing in stores.

Trumpet/mermaid styles look so good on curvy women. I tried on a mermaid dress at David's Bridal and it hugged me in ALL the right places, it just felt a little too sexy for me personally lol.

Thank you again, I'm really starting to love this dress Smiley smile

This dress is beautiful on you! you could try adding sparkle with a jeweled belt and other accessories if that is the make or break. What do you like about this dress that you dont like about the first dress?

I thought the same thing when I saw yours earlier! And thank you!!

I'm considering adding some sparkle in a few different ways, maybe with another layer of tulle that has glitter in it or just through some jewelry. The more I look at the photos, the less bothered I am with no sparkle, I'm starting to love it just the way it is (aside from needing the waist taken in).

I'm almost 100% on liking this one more than the one I already have. I'm hoping David's Bridal will give me a store credit that I can use to get my bridesmaids dresses since they don't take returns. Thanks for your input!! Smiley smile

Thank you Kristal!! I'm considering different ways to add sparkle, but also getting more comfortable with it not having the sparkle at all Smiley smile

Honestly, everything I love about this dress is all the ways it's different from the one I have now. I love the tulle skirt, I always wanted a tulle ballgown. When I originally tried on dresses, none of the ones I tried really felt/looked right to me. I also love that the detailing is throughout the skirt, while the dress I have now is just on the bodice/back. My dress now does have pockets (which who doesn't love that), but aside from that there's nothing I really love about my current dress.

As good as this dress looks, if you dont love it, i'd recommend trying on a few more of the azazie dresses if you have time. Try to find the dress that really is you instead of one that you just will settle for because its not your first dress. I think its fairly clear that you do need to focus on getting a new dress but making sure its one that suits you is paramount. My own dress is not something you'll find in a bridal boutique. Its very unique and I love it. I hope you find one that is just as much you as this one is me.

Your dress is very unique and it looks beautiful on you! My sister had something a little similar for her wedding where the back of the dress was red where yours is navy. Is navy going to be one of your wedding colors?

The second layer of tulle on my dress has sequins all over it! You can't tell all that well in the picture, but I love the subtle sparkle so if you can get a seamstress to add that, it would be so pretty! Plus if the dress from Azazie is cheaper, you might can afford the extra alterations. But I definitely don't think it NEEDS sparkle. It's beautiful the way it is!

Tip for David's Bridal, give them a sob story. Lol. If you act pitiful, they will probably give you store credit. My sister in law got pregnant and couldn't fit in her dress so she went in there and cried and begged them and they gave her store credit so she found another dress and spent the rest of the credit on flower girl dresses and stuff. It'd be awesome if you could use it towards the bridesmaid dresses!
