Avoid February in Florida?

I picked my beach wedding to be on 2/14/15 initially thinking it was the best date ever. Now I am having second thoughts. I picked my beach wedding to be on 2/14/15 initially thinking it was the best date ever. Now I am having second thoughts. I was hoping to get some advice from those who have had weddings outside/on the beach in Florida in February. Freezing, right? Well anything below 70 degrees I hate. I am a born Floridian and don't like the cold weather at all. There are a few cons to this date because flowers are more expensive, honeymoon is on Allure of the Seas - cold and cruise don't mix. Should I change the date to March?

If you stick with your date we have the same day! I picked valentines day because we met, got engaged and now will be married that day! I have gotten some great discounts for having a winter wedding up in Wisconsin.. I was worried about flowers but my florist is amazing and picked flowers that the price wouldn't go up just because of the holiday! I think 60* on a beach in February sounds amazing for a wedding Smiley smile

February is hit or miss. I am from South Florida as well, Ft. Lauderdale area.

@Rachey- I am from Jupiter as well, I was born in Garden hospital and lived in Jupiter until 3 years ago.

I would say the February date is fine depending on the time of day you are doing the wedding. The reason you did not realize what the temp was normally is cause as soon as you get out in the sun it seem much warmer. But I would not go much later then the end of March if you are going to change it unless you switch it to fall. My first marriage I did in April and it did indeed rain. Spring and Summer it just rains far to much. But then again my SIL got married 2-14-13 and it rained ALL day long- so much for her beach wedding. Good luck on whatever you decide.

If you move it to March or April you may have to deal with spring breakers in the area.

You can always note on your website (if you're doing one) that it will be an outdoor ceremony, that way your guests will know to bring a light sweater.

I'm a little partial to Valentine's Day myself, as I got engaged on that day...sounds like you're happy with that decision!
