Food and alcohol for us for about 100 people will be between $5000 and $6000 in the Minneapolis St. Paul area. We are only having beer and wine at our bar.

What you want to serve will be the biggest issue. I had a quick look, and you can get a BBQ buffet for $13/pp with wine and beer for 4 hrs for an additional $15. So $28/pp (Pappas BBQ catering, if you decide to go that way).

Or you could pay $150/pp for passed apps, top shelf bar and gourmet food. There's really no upper limit.

Just our food alone was $4,300.00 for 150 which is actually quite a steal for what we got. My total wedding will be about $18k in WA state

Are you looking for the average cost of the whole wedding or just the food and beverage portion?

I always recommend looking at the Vendor tab on WW. It is specific to your area and a lot of vendors show the Average price/ Most Popular price on their Vendor profile. This helped me know what I should be looking at in my area even if someone I wanted was not listed on their.

I would take the cost of wedding website with a grain of salt. In my experience it's way off. And the price difference in my town vs. the town next to mine (according to the site) is thousands of dollars. Kind of off topic, but I went to a wedding at The Parador in Houston last summer and it's beautiful!

Totally depends on your location. In Boston, 100 guests is costing us about 40k. In some other cities it's more, in some places it's less. If you go to costofweddings.com and plug in the location and number of guests it can tell you the general price.

ETA: 40k is for everything. Food and Booze for us will be about 18-20k

Where we are, the bare minimum for a standard wedding (not courthouse, DW, dry, potluck, cake and punch, etc.) would be 30-40k. If you want one of the more popular venues/full bar package/etc., you'll shoot up to 60-70k.

We are having a buffet and open bar for about 120 people and we are at $30,000 all in the Seattle area. After honeymoon and rehearsal dinner we are at about $47,000.

Depends on location, style of cuisine/variety of selection, open bar vs. beer and wine. You've got to narrow it down a bit for people to give you an average estimate.

Set a budget and then pick your guest list to avoid overspending.

Depends mainly on your area (city/state) & depends on what you want.

In NY, $18k-20K for what you mentioned above this excludes photography, videography, florist, DJ, souvenirs, invitations, dress, accessories.

Do some research in your area! For JUST food and beverage for 52 people is $10,300 at my venue. Add the rest of the vendors - flowers, officiant, photog, music, etc .

My venue for 100-150 is in the $15-22k range. For a Saturday night, full open premium bar, and a choice of 3 entrees plus late night snack. You could host the same number with a simpler bar, one entree, no extras at cocktail hour, etc. It's really up to the venue and your budget what you can offer. As long as there's food and drink, you're golden

So many factors....Location, time of day, time of year, food choices, what level of liquor the bar has...What type of venue you're looking for..

A 100 person wedding for us near Boston (not IN, about a half hour outside), at a country club is costing us about $27k. Food and drinks are about 9k of that (plus taxes and fees).

After looking at several venues, it is looking to be about $7500 for alcohol and food for a hundred people.

ETA: this is for a wedding in Northern Michigan
