"Average" is relative. You're going to have to be more specific with what you're concerned with. What's your budget and location?

a 100 person wedding for me in the Hudson Valley was going to be $50k.

It depends on a lot. Where are you, what time of day, what time of year, what are you serving, etc?

We're doing plated, but when we were considering buffet we saw a huge range in prices.

Our venue had a 22k minimum, for a Sunday night. They don't offer buffets.

No set budget yet. Located in Houston Texas. Very flexible on time of the year and preferably on a Friday.

Average? Maybe 15-20k. But that's not terribly useful in your specific situation. A high-end venue in Manhattan is going to be a completely different story than a community center in Alabama.

Our budget is $15k. Live in Florida, evening wedding, venue package, BBQ catering, beer & wine.

No budget, no season, no set anything. You should do your research on venues in your area, get an idea of where you want it. Then find one suitable with what you're willing to spend, and check their availability to decide on a time of year.

I am in Houston and big metropolitan city so lots of options. Just seeing what I should be expecting. I am with you Teresa on the budget. Looking for a package deal.

Depends where you are. Where I am in WNY our venue on a Sunday will be around $7500 for that many. This includes bar open during dinner as well as other drink options especially for those who don't drink alcohol.

Someone posted this link awhile back and I thought it was very helpful!

Just put your zip code in and it will give you an average wedding price for your area. Our budget was originally about 5k under the average but there's been a few additions that we decided to splurge on so we'll be right at the average afterall!

Peak Season is generally May-October; these times would typically be more expensive.

    If that helps any.

This is an impossible question that depends on quality, talent, location and time of year.

In my area, in season, with tax and service, 18,000-25,000.

You're welcome Jessica. Just look around and do plenty of research. That's what we did for our venue and vendors. You can still have amazing quality even when you don't spend thousands upon thousands. Just do research.
