Average Flower Cost??

Courtney, on April 24, 2017 at 6:56 PM Posted in Style and Décor 2 151

I have NO idea how much to budget towards flowers??

I am planning a blush/greenery wedding so I would love the flowers to be the main aspect of the wedding with big unruly bouquets and the main aspect of the tablescape to be flowers whether it be a garland if we have longer tables or circular if we end up with round tables.

I would also need 7 bridesmaids bouquets and a bridal bouquet which I plan to reuse at the top table. Also we would want to do both corners of our wedding arch.

I have attached photos to help put images to words, but still stumped on the cost.

Your best bet is to talk to a florist. There's no "average cost"- it all depends on how many and which flowers. Sounds like you should budget a lot though, since you want flowers to be your main decor and you have a large bridal party.

I'm going to go with $2,000 and up. They are exspensive. People on here have posted different websites to get flowers for less.

Depends on what you want. Below is what we are getting and with everything it's costing $700

It is going to depend on your location and the flowers you use. To give you a reference my bouquet is $200 and will be something similar to your photo, it will be a loose bouquet with peonies, pink astilbe, different types of roses, and seeded eucalyptus. From what I have seen on previous posts here on WW garlands go around $300 each. I would budget least $3000 from what you describe.

There is a budget on the WW app.It will break down what each item will cost.

I'm doing all fake flowers and the last quote I got from a seller on Etsy is roughly $500 for my bouquet, MOH bouquet, three wrist corsages, and eight boutonnieres. Mine are entirely hand made though.

It depends on your area (I love your inspiration pix). Lots can be done with flowing greenery and accent flowers.

I'd meet with a few florists who are familiar with your venue.

    Wrist corsages for both moms,

We are spending about 1000, that's not including bouquets or boutonnières since we are doing ecoflowers for that. In the 1000 is all the decor and twinkle lights, orchids, and a whhhooollleee bunch of vines as well as 18 centerpieces, 4 corsages for grandmas and moms then 2 bouts for the dads (no grandfathers for either of us).

I spent $1600: 5 BM bouquets, 1 bridal & toss bouquet, 2 mother corsages, 9 boutonieres, 2 baskets of rose petals, 12 center pieces & a wedding arch. This also included delivery. I thought she was decently priced.

Thank you everyone, flowers are absolutely a weakness of mine! Just trying to spend more than I do on the open bar (only rule set by my FH haha!)

Thank you @Lauren for being so specific. It gives me a good idea on how to budget as I am having a similar amount of flowers. I intend on using a lot of greenery and flowers that are in season. I haven't even started to meet with florists yet. I have been in a wedding where the flowers died before the ceremony so I want to get something hardy.

@Dawn I completely understand your worry about getting something hardy, I'm worried mine are going to wilt in the heat with it being an outdoor wedding so I am considering faux flowers for all the bouquets as no-one will really see them up close and I have found some great Easy vendors who seem reasonably priced.

@Lauren that quote seems great and almost exactly what I'm looking for, I'm getting married up near New York, you're florist doesn't happen to be close does she?!

My dad ordered his online through Costco for under $1k

I'm ordering mine in bulk and arranging my own bouquets and such, so I'm spending under $300.

But yes they are typically way way way more! I'm just not willing to spend that much with my low budget wedding.

We are having 10 tall, large centerpieces, one bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 5 bouts, and a few smaller arrangements for placement near the gift table etc. Our final price after service, delivery, and tax was appx. $1750. We are in Southern California.

I started getting estimates and quickly realized that what I wanted was out of my budget, so I'm going with Costco.

Don't rely on the WW budget to tell you costs!

It tells you how much you CAN spend, not how much people will charge.

For my tentative $15,000 budget it told me I have $375 for ALL of my flowers.
