Hello! I’m starting to plan my save the dates, and just wondering how much the average person spends on them? i'm doing a flat 5 by 7, with a blank envelope. with so many website options, im just unsure what exactly is a “normal” price. thank you!!!!

I waited until VistaPrint had a sale. We got 200 magnets for $81.00.

And then you had to get envelopes for the magnets to go in correct?

Depending on the sales going on, Shutterfly isn't too bad. If they don't have a sale going on (which they generally do every other week), I would look into VistaPrint or Ann's Bridal Bargains like PP's mentioned. I've also looked into Walmart and while they don't have as many options, they are more affordable if you find a style you like!

We went through a local paper company so our's ended up being roughly $1.75 each including the Save The Date and Envelopes that are addressed and stamped. Online retailers are more affordable but we like to shop small and support local in anyway we can.

I’ve also been looking into Etsy. They have templates that you can buy, download, edit with your text and pictures, and print out wherever you choose.

Minted! Cannot recommend enough- they addressed everything for us in font that matched the cards. $120 after the 25% off discount for 55 save the dates. Everything got here in less than a week of submitting the order

Personally, I spent $0. Yes, zero. I waited until Minted was doing their digital invitations for free and just tweaked a wedding invitation to be a save the date. We already had everyone's email addresses so we sent them out that way. I think spending money on save the dates is a little pointless, personally. If I had to choose between sending save the dates or just sending out invitations slightly earlier than normal, I'd send out invitations earlier. Save on both the product itself and the postage. But that's just me!
