average beer consumption

So we are providing beer for the wedding with wine provided by winery. My question is how much beer should I allow per person. I want to have plenty and not run out but I don't want a lot left over as neither me nor fiancee are beer drinkers. We have invited around 110 and I would say that half of those are big beer drinkers. I'm assuming we can return unopened cases, any thoughts on that as well?

We alloted for 5 drinks per person + wine. We know our friends are big drinkers but that family arn't and will only have prob 1 or 2 plus the wine

Being a big beer drinker, I can kill about a six pack of 12 ouncers in an hour. I would err on the side of caution. It is better to have more than run out.
