I have discovered that my period will be in full swing the day of my wedding and not gonna lie I’m pretty irritated about it lol. But it’s whatever. I was wondering if anybody experienced that and how you handled it? Or anybody is going to be in the same position and how you plan on handling it? I can’t imagine trying to change a tampon in an 8 layer tulle fit and flare😫🤦🏻‍♀️ And my flow always ranges from light to heavy depending on the month lol. I’m not on BC anymore because I want to get pregnant so skipping it is not an option and while it’s not the most ideal, wedding night sexy time won’t necessarily be ruined lol. I just wanna know how to manage the actual wedding DAY with my unwelcome guest... thanks ladies!!

My wedding is this upcoming Saturday and my lovely time of the month came today a while week early!

Im so nervous that it will still be here when Saturday comes around but the diva cup is my best friend. I swear it can last a whole day without having any issues.

If you do go and get one definitely try it out for a couple days beforehand so you can get used to the feeling of it so you don't think something is wrong all day!

I don't know if anyone has brought this up yet, but it is possible to induce your period early. While it might suck to have it in the days leading up to your wedding, you can at least be past it or on the very tail end on the big day. I've been in theatre most of my life and it isn't uncommon for girls to try and kick off their periods a few days early in order to get it out of their system before a show opens.

Here are some links on ways you can do it. Since everyone's body operates differently, these methods may or may not work for you.

Love my cup, but I agree do not do it for the first time during the wedding!
Thinx brand underpants are okay but I find their gussetts (crotch) to be on the slimmer side, I'd layer protection, but I'm a super bleeder. Make sure to have a MOH aware and make sure nothing shows.

Also dresses have so many layers nobody would know but you anyway.

I've been watching my period app like a hawk and so far I won't have it for the wedding and am scheduled to get it the last day of our honeymoon, which is FINE but first day of period on a 12 hour flight is going to be torture too. I'm pretty regular and not on any kind of BC so I"m hoping this sticks. But after reading this thread, I'm pretty sure I'm going to try out the DivaCup.
