Crazy story!

"Area couples are scrambling to relocate their weddings after a Maryland winery abruptly closed this week.

'We regret to inform you that The Winery at Elk Manor's ability to continue operations has been adversely impacted due to circumstances beyond our control,' an unnamed winery representative wrote in an email to brides on Tuesday.

The winery's owner, Simon Tusha, along with his wife, Gretchen, could not immediately be reached for comment....

In May, Simon Tusha, a former Google executive, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States in an international bribery case. Tusha admitted in federal court in Pittsburgh that he received about $3.2 million in kickbacks from international companies looking to negotiate contracts for data centers with Google, according to a report in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Tusha and his co-conspirators hid the money from the IRS through multiple shell companies, the report said."
