Attire for a Father of the Bride who is also the officiant?

I think he should wear a nice suit. I've had plenty of dads not wear tuxes.

My FFIL will be officiating ours, he will be wearing a tux to match my dad. But since you are having 2 I would say whatever he feels comfy in. Whatever you think looks best.

A friend's father (who is a pastor) officiated her ceremony (her grandfather gave her away) wore his cleric collar with his tux.

Is your father giving you away and officiating? If he is, I say let him choose what he will wear.

My dad is a pastor, so is FH's... sorta weird but whatever. They are both officiants, his dad mainly because we both attend his dads church, but both of our dads will be in tuxs. Just do what makes you happy.

He could wear a tux or suit as he walks you up the aisle, and then quickly slip into a robe (if ministers wear them in your church).
