At what point did you become obsessed with the weather?

OMG I was reading this thread seeing people saying they checked it for 10 days in advance or whatever and I’m wondering...... will people think I’m crazy if I comment that I checked weather history on our date and the percentage of rain on that date....... 😂 so glad you did the same thing and I’m not alone hahaha

🥂 Are you doing first look pictures? We went back and forth on the decision. But we decided to wait till he sees me come down the aisle.

I am a meteorologist, so I can tell you that there is no sense in checking it more than a week out. Extended long term forecasts like that are basically throwing darts at the wall and picking whatever weather pattern they land on. The forecast will change many, many times between now and then so no use stressing about it Smiley smile

I have 56 days left & ive been praying since last year that God give us perfect weather. I have asked him if he does allow it to rain to hold it off until the night while we are celebrating. I’m always looking at the weather 2-3 weeks out anyway but I know I will be on my OCD trip once 3 weeks hit. Lol

About a week before I was checking it but you can't change the weather. Our day had a VERY light drizzle - but that made for beautiful photographs!!!

Our backup space was gorgeous as well, so it did not bother me!

    Best wishes!

8 days out and I'm checking it but not obsessively because I don't want to jinx myself lol. We also "buried the bourbon" so legend says we'll have good weather!

Uh, about a month before. The area was hit with HEAVY flooding and some venues were damaged (ours was fine). The week before we realized it might rain (we had a back-up site at the venue). The day of, had to use the back-up site. It was even better!!! The outdoor patio fit our theme better and the rain stopped long enough during first look pics/after ceremony for stunning photos. Thank you, rain!!!

But too funny. Week before our wedding = sun. Week of wedding/mini-moon = rain. Week after wedding = sun. lol.

We checked the historical weather data before we booked at or venue. Last November I paid a lot more attention to what the weather was like than usual but I won't actually bother looking at forecasts before a week out, too much stress for something so unpredictable

I'm praying for rain. I love rain, the smell, the sound. With a wedding in August it would be perfect.

I actually have no worried much about it. I kinda hope it rains, I am prepared for the rain. Rain on your wedding day is good luck. But rain or shine my wedding is coming super fast.

We're currently in the hurricane season here in the Caribbean so I'm just praying for sunshine on my day. But thank God for my bestie, I have back up plans a thorough z.

Oh gosh, I'm notorious for this...still over 50 days so hasn't become a real enough threat yet, but I'm sure by a month out I'll be stressing. Good luck, hope it works out for you but if you do get rain I'm sure it'll be great anyway!

We got married on 6/8 and I started checking ALOT about 30 days out. Everyday I looked at it. For the most part it was spot on. 80 degrees and a little humid

I haven't thought about the weather since our wedding venue is indoors, but decided to look because of this post. What I already know: Vegas in July is HOT. I do worry about driving around town if it's raining while we're there.

I started obsessing about 3 weeks out and FREAKED OUT because at that time it appeared that the day before was going to be beautiful, and the day after was going to be beautiful, but the day of the wedding was expected to have a freaking thunderstorm (in Northern California, where we just don't have big storms, and certainly not in mid-October!)

The good news: the storm never materialized and there was no rain at all.

The bad news: the entire northern part of the state burst into flames instead. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/October_2017_Northern_California_wildfires)
