Assigned seats or tables?

Assigned seats or tables? 1
Are you planning on assigning seats or just tables? Also do you prefer round or rectangular tables? What are some of your ideas on table settings and decorations?

We are doing tent cards. Solid colored card stock premade cards from Etsy most likely. Guests will be assigned to a table and pick their seats. Not doing a poster board type chart because they are often difficult to read, create congestion, and guests forget the assignment halfway to the table.

Round tables are always preferable. It’s also easier to chat with people at round tables because rectangular only allows you to talk to a couple people directly around you.

My venue only offers round tables, prefer it anyways. We are doing assigned tables, I don’t want to micromanage like that by telling people they have to sit in a certain seat.

Assigned tables, but not seats. They only have round so that’s what I’m using.
The plan now is to use potted plants for centerpieces, but it’s not till 2022 so I could change my mind.

Our venue has round tables. We're assigning tables, but not seats. I think people at least like to have that choice.

We just did assigned tables and that is easier than assigning seats. Round tables are better fir people to be able to talk to each other for sure, but I love the look of rectangular tables.

Like mostly everyone my venue offers round tables. We will have a seating chart with assigned tables but not seats and I'm having acrylic table numbers with our names made, they look great I can't wait lol

We're assigning people to tables, but not specific seats, and making escort cards for each person, organized in last name alphabetical order (much easier to find your name than by table number). Our venue offers both rounds and banquets - we're going to use a mix of both since the room is an odd shape and it'll be easier to maximize space that way. For the rounds, we're doing bud vases and for the banquets, we're doing greenery garlands (DIY-ing both!). Anything else on the table (plates, utensils, napkins, etc.) is on the caterer to provide - we chose a specific napkin color but otherwise it's all on them!

We plan on doing assigned tables but not seats. Our venue only has round tables but I personally love the look of the longer banquets with a table runner and greenery/garlands.

We're doing assigned tables. Our venue provides round or rectangular farmhouse tables, so it really just depends on how many people RSVP yes, and how well the space can be utilized! I plan on just doing a table runner with garland for the farmhouse tables, and if we use round tables, we'll have table linens on them and just a few candles in gold holders with loose leaves scattered about. Nothing too fancy!

We did assigned tables and guests were free to choose their specific seats at the assigned tables. Our tables were round
