Asking someone to walk me down the aisle

What about just a nice card explaining what he means to you and what it would mean to you to have him walk you down the aisle? Maybe with something he likes as a small gift. Or you could ask him to take a walk with you and then be like "that was fun, right? Now how about in front of a bunch of people??"

I love the second one Rabb said! It's super cute and light hearted. Maybe you could do that and also hand him a card with a letter in it. Fun and sentimental?

I'd wait til closer to the wedding, your feelings may change.

I like the idea of a personal card explaining what it would mean to you, and nothing over-the-top that would put him on the spot if he isn't comfortable doing it.

Wait until Jan. 2017 to ask him. You may come up with other ideas by then (your mom, maybe?).

My mom will not do it she has already said so. I don't have any brothers as mine died 20 years ago. I have three male cousins and I know he would be honored I'm just thinking of the best way to ask him. I've known since after my dad died he would be the one who would walk me down the aisle.
