Asking friends to be bridesmaids??

My friends I'm sure already know they're going to be in my wedding but I didn't know if I should do it a cute way or just say it lol. Just wondering how you guys asked your friends to be your bridesmaids??

I'm asking everyone in person, which seems like a no-brainer but I'm in MA, MOH is in VA, one BM is in Chicago, and the rest are scattered around New England.

I did a cute picture frame (4 by 6) that they can put a bridesmaid photo in later and some candy. And in the frame I had a cute or silly picture that represents our relationship. I've seen people do the boxes with alcohol, a bracelet, wedding colors, etc and I think it's cute but it's also a know your crowd thing. I was in a wedding where she gave us all sorts of matching bracelets, pins, collage picture boards etc and they're all just sitting in storage now. I figured a small picture frame would probably at least get put on a desk or random table somewhere. So just keep in mind that your wedding colors and wedding related attire/jewelry is not always exciting for other people.

I just asked lol , didn't even gather them up , since all have different schedules , and 1 is out of state.

But we did manage to get together once for drinks and karaoke so that was nice Smiley smile

I basically just told my sisters. The only ones I did anything 'cute' was for my high school best friend that lived out of state at the time. I sent her a little popper thing with confetti and a note inside.

I mailed a card with something sweet to each of my bridesmaids except for one, who I was waiting until after her wedding to ask her so I didn't further stress her out (she had a lot going on). I asked her a little later than recommend because of that, but you shouldn't be asking any earlier than 8 months before your date.

I asked the ones close by in person, and called the others on the phone. bridesmaid proposal things are cute but not really a thing in my circle.
