Asian venues

Not sure if this fits but Miami Beach has a botanical gardens. I haven't been there in years and don't remember any details, but it might be worth looking into. There's also one called Fairchild in Miami. I've never been so can't give you a first hand account, but it might be worth a shot. Good luck!

Okay, glad that's cleared up. I'm Chinese as well. There's much you can do to incorporate your Chinese culture even if the venue isn't necessarily "Asian" such as the happiness symbol, the color red (and gold), wearing a qipao, serving specialty dishes (Peking duck, noodles, red bean soup), etc.

@dianna, what would you recommend that's foreigner friendly (food)? Fiance is Hispanic, so I'm figuring out entree and appetizers

@Dorothy Maybe a duck dish and a lobster or fish dish? I think that's what we'll be doing and also some Chinese pastries along with other desserts.

@dianna, fish is one of the main ideas but egg tarts or red bean sweets might be a good idea. Now to find a vendor that actually does that...
