Artificial Flowers

Mollie, on June 6, 2019 at 10:31 PM Posted in Planning 0 19
Hey everyone!! I need some advice on where you purchased your flowers. I am struggling on whether to order artificial or real flowers. If artificial where did you get yours. We are on a budget and would like to keep the cost of flowers under 500. We are needing so many and i cant seem to get them under that price. I posted a picture of what I would like my bouqet to look like, centerpieces, and head table. Thank you so much in advance.

We haven't booked our florist yet, but we're going with a neighbor who has a wood florals company: https://www.facebook.com/enchantedappleboutique/ We also haven't gotten quotes from her yet, so I'm not sure how much our flowers will end up being. We need a bridal bouquet, boutonnieres for all of the groomsmen/dads/grandpas, one MOH bouquet and corsages for the moms/grandmas.

BUT my suggestion is try going to farmer's markets, craft bazaars and the like to see if there is anybody like that there and see if they do weddings. I showed my coworkers the wood flowers, and they couldn't believe they weren't real!
    good luck with your search!

I got my bouquets of fake flowers from Michael's and then all my corsages and boutonnieres off eBay.

The quality was ok ahah but it looks just like the image.the one caveat is it can take a long time to arrive due to long shipping. But I'm sure Amazon has good options. I went with eBay because they were just exceptionally cheap

You're welcome! I'm not sure if the Enchanted Apple Boutique ships out of state. But you could use her images as ideas to show other people!

do you have anybody in Minnesota that you trust that could attend these craft shows for you? that might help. the EAB is in NJ, where we're from, and we're planning in VA. Both are parents are from NJ, so they're going to pick up the flowers for us

I'm from Minnesota and what I did for my floral arrangement is used flowers from Hobby Lobby. They have sales on their artificial flowers every other week and they're nice looking flowers too.
Hope this helps and good luck.

I ordered from Budget Bride - artificial, and got what I need for under $500. Just beware of a long lead time for that low of a price.

I prefer real flowers and find the price of Fame flowers to be outrageous for what there are.

I’m going fake and am using Foam flowers. I just like the way they look.
This is an extremely rough version of my centerpiece and is missing a few elements.

You could buy live flowers in bulk from Sam's Club or Costco and it would be under $500.

I found a shop on Etsy called Dress Your Wedding. She does artificial flowers and they are gorgeous!!

I'm not quite ready to order yet, so I haven't finalized with her. But her prices seem really reasonable, and a lot cheaper than real flowers.

So I got a majority of my artificial flowers from Dollar Tree. It sounds nuts, I know, but they were of higher quality and feel more real than the ones next door at Hobby Lobby!
