Armpit fat!

Erin Wood, on June 13, 2017 at 7:57 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 23

My alterations lady told me I can tape down my armpit fat. Anyone else ever done this or have any advice?

It doesn't look horrible but I hate it! HaHa!

Tape down which way?? I've used body tape to pull in the girls, and that little bit can get pulled in too somewhat, but with the strapless dress and the shape there, I'm not sure how much it will do, especially because that 'armpit fat' is really minimal (seriously, you're gorgeous) and you'll have to make sure the tape isn't visible above that neckline.

If you do use body tape, make sure to do a test run. You could end up pulling your arm skin tight across the top of your dress, which could chaff and really hurt after a while.

I have a staple gun used to close up patients after their surgery. Want that? Lol

I have no clue how to tape skin down otherwise.

Also, ill fitting bras are the number one culprit for bad arm pit bunch ups. A well-fitted bra that keeps your boobs forward (like not spreading towards your sides) and doesn't have any spillage is the best bet to avoiding it, as much as humanly possible.

Don't forget humans have skin, and healthy ones have fat. Models are photoshopped and you are your own worse critic. Everyone else will love you for you.

Armpit fat is the worst! I swear as I age my boobs are gravitating out towards the sides and the armpit fat is worse and worse.

Honestly I would not handle it super well if someone suggested that to me. How rude! You don't have anything to worry about so I would do nothing. Mine honestly was a night/day difference when I got the right bustier for my dress. The last thing anyone is noticing that day is your armpit but if you're self consious about it (I was) try a bustier. Get a fitted one since that's what makes the biggest difference.

.... try taping if that's what u want. But it looks normal.

If u tape make sure that when ur dancing or ur arms go up, that the tape doesn't show

Lol!! I guess you just tape it down under the dress. This might be one for YouTube. At least the comments are entertaining. HaHa!

To clarify- I am not wearing a bra in this picture. The pads I tried originally made the armpit fat even worse!! I'm the one who brought it up which is why she suggested tape. It's just always bothered me.

Mine are awful also but I'm not taping them! Lol I gained 17 lbs and have some back fat now too. If it doesn't disappear it will be the same way. Smiley smile

I need to try the tape now and see, I have been lifting weights in hoping the fat goes away, but I'm just lying to myself. The fat just stares at me every day!!

I know what you mean in general about armpit fat, but honestly don't see it on you/in this dress. Seriously, the dress is great on you!

I just went to youtube, I didn't find a video that has a way to tape down the armpit fat. Only showed

"easy" workouts to get rid of it.

If anyone finds a video please share it, I would like to see it.

I haven't heard of taping either. I wonder how it would look if you did that.
