Are you wearing underwear?

Magz1018, on October 9, 2014 at 9:30 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 41

I hope this isn't too personal, but I don't know what to do... So many friends who are already married told me that they've squatted over the toilet facing the tank to pee, but what am I supposed to do about underwear? Do I not wear any? or shift them to the side? What are you ladies going to do? Ladies who are married, what did you do?

What do you usually do with your underwear when you pee? Do that. The thing with facing the toilet is that it's usually easier to just pick up the front of your dress and go that way than it is to scoop up all the back of the dress and pee. You don't have to do anything special with your underwear.

Yep, it works like Kahlcara says.

But get cute undies. Smiley smile I had plans to wear super cute ones and forgot them, so wore my super sex gym/workout underwear. So sexy.

I peed facing the toilet. The trick with that is to take your underwear completely off.

Mine were my something blue. I went to the bathroom just like I normally would and I didn't have to take my panties completely off. I wore a trumpet style dress and really didn't have an issues. Ball gowns - I can see those being problematic.

I'm going to get drunk the night before and then not drink a lick of water the day of. That way I'll be so dehydrated, I won't have to pee at all. JK. I'm wearing a thong, so I figure I can just pull them to the side, or take them off entirely. Really, when it comes to details, I ask myself, does my DOC have to help me with it? If the answer is no, then it's not worth stressing over.

Haha...sorry to laugh, but when I got married women wore underwear, slips and pantyhose. I can't remember needing to use the bathroom until after the reception. Maybe go for that Smiley smile

Omg! I've been worried about the same thing! This is the one thing about the wedding that is really stressing me out! I have no idea how im going to use the restroom with a mermaid dress, now i have to deal with the whole undearwear situation...makes me think that wearing none at all might be a better idea! lol

Why not just change into a more maneuverable, though still lovely dress for the reception? Or even in the middle after the ceremonial stuff.

Totally not a problem to pee. I was concerned about this one too. Some chick wrote a blog about using a trash bag to hold up your dress and I was freaked out that I'd have to do that. I didn't.

Just hike up the dress with one hand, pull down the underwear with the other, grab a handful of TP with the free hand and pee facing the tank. Wipe. Flush. Hike up the pantalones and voila, you're a bride who has mastered the art of peeing on her wedding day.

Freak not. You can dooooo eeeeet.

I can't tell you how many of my married friends I helped pee during their weddings...scooting underwear down and lifting a dress...I don't remember the wiping situation. Anyways...I think it depends on your dresss...so many are made to be more comfortable today with ways to move them around. BUt LivelyBrides advice is good too!

I just hiked my dress up to my head and went in blind. Managed not to pee on myself or my undies or anywhere else I didn't need to be peeing. I had MOH as bathroom support but didn't end up needing the help haha.

My best friend (also my MOH) and I have already been discussing bathroom strategies...we're gonna make it work one way or another.

I would deff wear underwear. Idk when your wedding is and how active you will be but you will probably start to sweat a little lol just do it how you normally do it!

I went total commando for my wedding. It was way more comfortable all around. That said, I only wear underwear with pants usually anyway. I'm pro breathe free otherwise Smiley smile

Ge the shewee. Not sure guys have it in he states and j personally would never use it but it is a funnel type thing that's is shaped for a female to pee into and then you can pee standing up. It was actually created for camping so females didn't have to get out of their sleeping bag at night and could pee into a beer bottle or the like at night like guys do.

My dress is poofy on the bottom so I will def need assistance. I've heard of the funnel thing and I'm not quite sure that I am up for it.

I was actually considering going commando but am concerned about sweat thoughout the night. I don't need to wear a girdle or Spanx luckily but still not sure what I'm gonna do. My weddings less than a week away and I still don't have underwear.
