Are you hiring someone for the ceremony music?

I totally have forgotten that something needs to be played during the ceremony. I was going to have a cousin sing as I walk down the aisle, but, idk if he will be able to attend. Of course, I'm waiting for Sam Smith to say yes he will sing. Are you hiring someone? Or playing off and ipod or...

Mostly I see an even split between classical or acoustic and the dj . I have had a handful of people use ipods, but someone good has to run it.

Personally, I like it when couples pick music they actually like.

FH's childhood best friend's dad is a Jazz Pianist and is playing for our ceremony music and then staying afterward to enjoy the party. Smiley smile

We're going to try to hire a string trio or quartet for live pre-ceremony and ceremony music (I work with a music non-profit so I know some good college student groups, for instance). Our DJ is setting up mics for the ceremony already, and if we can't find a string group, our DJ will do the music.

We are doing a brass quintet. But when I walk down the aisle a family friend is singing my song. The words are why I chose it, and I would hate for them to be lost by not having it sung or played...

We hired a cellist to play for our ceremony. She sounded beautiful and I'm so glad we opted for her.

Our DJ will be doing the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. They have had no trouble finding our music so far and they've worked with our venue before so I know there won't be hassle there. If you want to have live music check around for some students at a local college.

We just added it to our DJ package, and he'll also be handling the cocktail hour in addition to the reception.
