Are you changing everything with your last name down to email?

Do I need to change my email address too? I will for work once I change everything there, but for my personal email do I really need to change the address? I will be applying to jobs, does it matter if my resume says my new name and my maiden name is still my email address? Ugh it looks so strange...

I'm going to use my maiden name email for spam-y type things, like ShoeDazzle or whatever and then create a new email address for more legit stuff. It's my hope that the new email will be less messy with junk mail than the old one Smiley smile

I have a new email set up with my married name. Mainly to stop the overload of spam in my current email account. I am also having my work email changed to my new name. I'm not a fan of my maiden name so I'd rather just have everything match. lol

Side note...I also have an email account dedicated to spam and store coupons and stuff so I can actually find the needed things in my main account.

My email just has initials so I wont be having to adjust that thankfully.

I'm not changing my last name at all! However, I do plan to create a new email address, with my fiance's last name, for professional purposes. I plan on running an experiment to see how my "married name" vs my "single name" affects how recruiters and hiring managers (I'm an engineer) see me. I'm Vietnamese, but my fiance's last name is English in origin.

I suspect the "married name" will get more callbacks.

I will change a legal, banking things. My Facebook will probably stay the way it is- for a bit... Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram & LinkedIn are all linked to modeling name so no worries there.
Email and iPhone prolly will be changed. Yes

I plan on carrying both names for awhile. I'll keep my maiden name in the military life bc it isnt common and in the civilian sector change it up. I've looked to see if I could get a good e.ail address with the common last name and outlook is not good. It will all change eventually (closer to retirement).

Lmaooo oh yeah I don't think I ever had an email like that. My email has been hotmail since I started with email just my first inital, maiden name, and a number, but I do remember the AIM days of weird screen names lol. I think I will just create a new alias for my email for jobs and such as microsoft piles everything into one email box. Then I don't have to change all the store subscriptions and billing accounts (for now, until I update my name on my bills) I have and I'll still get the emails just fine.

I'm leaning toward just keeping my current email address. I don't see it as a big deal for me to change it compared to driver's license, social security card, etc.!

I already created a new email for myself (and a joint one for things like bills and Disney+ [the important things in life]) because I wanted to make sure to snag it when I thought of it. I don't think it matters all too much right away. Maybe for jobs it'd be best to create the new one and have it forward your emails to your old account. You can link them and make it look like you're replying via the new account, but really it's the old one.

I'm not planning on changing my name at all because I use it for work and it's my "brand" (not my legal name, but my middle name that I go by). I also told him it will be a pain for me to change every single document so I won't, and he's totally fine with it Smiley smile

You could keep your maiden email for work searching, but start a new one you will use right after you get a job?
