Are you changing clothes before leaving your reception?

I've always envisioned pictures of me and FH in the car waving goodbye to our guests with our wedding clothes still on. However, my mother couldn't believe this as she thinks we should change into something more comfortable before we leave even though our hotel is only 15 minutes away and we aren't...

I've always envisioned pictures of me and FH in the car waving goodbye to our guests with our wedding clothes still on. However, my mother couldn't believe this as she thinks we should change into something more comfortable before we leave even though our hotel is only 15 minutes away and we aren't going on a honeymoon until December so having to deal with putting my dress somewhere won't be a big issue. I was just wondering if anyone else is keeping their dress on when they leave or if its more popular to change before leaving.

    We didn't change! We drove off in our attire and didn't take it off until we hit the hotel room!

    Nope I went over budget on my dress so keeping it on until the end of the night when fh and I consummate our marriage! Probably going try to keep it on for the first round lol

    I am keeping my dress on. I can't imagine talking it off right after the ceremony. It was pricey and it's gorgeous.

    I know this might sound a bit racy but I honestly just want to wear the dress to the hotel so he can take it off of me hahaha. I'll definitely be wearing it to the hotel, and we'll be leaving the next morning for our honeymoon.

    We wore our wedding attire back to the hotel and it was kind of cool to walk through the hotel lobby in our dress and Tux period

    I will be keeping my dress on as long as I can lol. After the reception, my whole wedding party will be going out to a local bar and I will definitely still be wearing my dress. I only get to wear it once so I am going to make the most of it.

    I'm not changing. I don't think you need to since you are only going to the hotel

    I didn't change. Back in the days our parents got married, it was supposedly a BIG deal to change out of their formal wedding attire. Most weddings I've been to the bride left in her wedding gown. You only get to wear it once.
