Ok FH decided a while ago that he wanted to do something like this for him and his groomsmen. He's still undecided whether he wants to wear a vest to set himself apart or wear suspenders as well and do something else to set himself apart. Anyway I went dress shopping today and found the most beautiful dress! My concern is the dress might be more formal than what we were initially going for. It is satin and ivory almost gold colored. I just fell in love. I can post the dress as well. I'm very undecided.

That dress is gorgeous! But definitely more formal. Maybe the guys could do full suits for the ceremony. We went to a friend's wedding recently where the guys had suits with suspenders underneath. They wore the jackets for the ceremony and then all took them off for the reception. That way you could have the best of both worlds.

I wore a ballgown and DH was in his dress blues. His groomsmen were in vests and rolled up sleeves, and the bridesmaids were in knee-length chiffon. Definitely more casual than our own outfits but it still looked good!

I think if the groomsman wear the same formal shoes it'll look fine. It's diff. & I like it.
