My Wedding is scheduled for 2/27/21 in Costa Rica. As of right now CR is not letting US citizens into the country. My wedding planner who is not local believes this restriction won't last and will be lifted in the coming months. However, the new guidelines state the country requires a negative COVID test to be taken within 48 hours prior to entry as well as purchase insurance if you would be required to quarantine. While I don't mind doing this its my guests that I am concerned about. More effort and money for them. Ms. Rona has really put a damper on this whole process for me...and I'm just kinda over it :-( But then part of me is like I have wanted this for so long and I'm not ready to let go of it. What are your thoughts 2021 Brides or Brides in general? I am open to hear all view points because right now I just don't know what to do.

I want to tell you to wait, but I'd rather say to go with you gut. I definitely understand your concerns.
We are in July 2021 which is far away but even my own fiancé and most of our guests wouldn't be allowed in the States at this point! (And they wouldn't want to be either...) If nothing gets better, that is. But I'm continuing to plan as though it'll fix itself because otherwise I'll just give up and do nothing probably. Our engagement has been a year already, I can't imagine waiting two more!!!
I really feel like things will improve! They have to! But I can't blame you for a February wedding creating a back-up plan. Good luck to you 🤞💖

Thanks Jeanette. You are right, we are hoping things will improve soon. I just recieved word today that they may be opening the borders up as early as October 8th if numbers improve. We are crossing our fingers for that. I totally feel you on continuing to plan and have a back up plan b/c the last thing we all need is for it to resolve it self and we are scrambling to plan a wedding LOL. I do believe things will improve thou and I pray this is well and done when your date comes around. Thanks again & Wishing you Luck as well
