are scented candles a no-no?

KittenPurrFace, on January 25, 2011 at 1:48 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

Reception is indoors. Should I avoid scented candles, just not mix scents, or doesn't it matter?

I would avoid it yes. People have allergies, and it will be close to them. It can also be a fire danger and some venues won't allow it. Check with the venue.

I would avoid due to allergies and the fact that not everyone likes the same scent!

Be careful with the table-size tiki torches, too. Went to a wedding last summer that was indoor "beach theme" and the reception hall quickly filled with black smoke!

And because scent and taste combine at the back of the throat. Scented candles are always a bad idea around food.

Id avoid it. I know me personally I get migraines from certain scents. Candles are great in glass holders but stick to scentless.
