Are Satin dresses old-fashioned

I certainly don't think so. I think they're classic. A lot of brides on these forums have satin dresses.

Honestly, I don't think of fabrics like that at all... I think of the style when I think of what's modern/old fashioned.

You look AMAZING!!! I actually think I'm going to look for a satin blend. I love the look and feel of a satin, but I want to cut back a little on the shine. You're dress actually looks like something I would look for. You look beautiful.

I think satin dresses are beautiful and flatter people better than other fabrics. They aren't very popular in Texas because of the heat which is why I didn't get one.

I think you look stunning, and satin is such a classic look! Now, if you had a satin long sleeve with puffy shoulders, THAT would be old fashioned. Get what you love!

I think it looks beautiful on you. Forget what they say. I wanted a yellow gold engagement ring. When my husband was shopping for it the salesclerk told him that it was an old fashioned style. Call me old fashioned then! I agree that satin is classic and adds glamour.

It's really funny that you say that because to me satin is a really modern choice. I feel like lace or tulle is a more vintage style but that satin has become really popular lately. Of the weddings I've been to/seen of friends but couldn't make it to in the last 5 years or so I would say at least half but probably more like 75% have worn satin. I'm sure it's different in different places but it's very popular around here. I tried on satin but it just didn't suit me. I think that dress looks AMAZING on you!!

I don't know if it is or not, but I'm pretty sure if you don't buy that dress I'm going to slap you. That dress is Gorgeous and it looks Ridiculous on you. I'm trying to hold myself back from proposing to you because you look that good in that dress.
