Are painted nails (not French tip) tacky?

My MOH was talking to me about her brother's wedding and saying how gross it was that her new SIL had purple tips on her nails (matching the wedding colors). I do fun stuff on my nails all the time and was planning on something cool utilizing our colors and maybe integrating a Hawaiian flower or something for the wedding. Is this tacky? I would feel pretty weird/naked only having French tips but I don't want to look bad either. Suggestions?

I love bright tips but I want to look a little more classic for my wedding day. I'm going to do tips in a neutral (cream, light lavender, something) and do a glittery design on the ring finger. I think that will be the best of both worlds

I can't stand french tips or neutral nail colors. So boring.

I've been doing my nails in bright colors all my life and I'm not about to change that for my wedding. And I really highly doubt that anyone will even remember that more than a few minutes later, let alone focus on that in pictures.

I did french tips with sticker. My dress had pearl and lace in it, so i really wanted to have "lace" finger nails. Couldn't figure out how to do that. So i bought some "lace nail art stickers" online. After I got nails done (these are my real nails and I went with gel) i went home and attempted to put on (the nail lady wouldn't put them on). These are very very thin and it blends in right into your nail on contact. The one i wanted to use I messed up on so i carefully took it off. I put on one that looked like a snowflake on my ring finger. It actually worked out because we had a winter wedding. My pictures are on the other computer but here is one of them about a week later in vegas desert (and my jewelry find while in the desert).

I don't think so at all. I paint my nails crazy colors all the time and plan on doing something special for my wedding as well.

I'm personally not a fan of acrylic nails. I do my own nails every week and I'll be doing my own nails for the wedding too. More than likely I'll be wearing Essie's Ladylike with a little sparkle on my ring fingers.

I was thinking of having just light pink nails.
