Are double wedding bands just for your anniversary??

Hello everyone I have a question. My fiance wants to get me double wedding bands, you know the ones that are connected. I told my mother and she said that they were only for your 20th anniversary. I really like the idea of my finger having a little more sparkle to it. Lol

    I actually already have a wedding band because my E-ring belonged to FH's great grandmother and she had her E-ring fused to her wedding band. I love the history and the look of the whole piece so I'm leaving it as she originally had it (didn't even need to size it!).

    I plan on getting something similar to her band to match it on the other side and eventually to have it fused into a single piece.
