Hi, we are having a wedding of about 30 people in a small Italian restaurant in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Hi, we are having a wedding of about 30 people in a small Italian restaurant in Williamsburg Brooklyn. I was going over all my to do lists with my mom and she said "don't forget to ask about corsages (when ordering your bouquet) for his mother and your two grandmothers!" (my mom won't be wearing one as she has allergies) is this still a thing? I don't really get it, to me it's so 80's / prom. What do you ladies think?

Our moms/grandmas had wristlets that matched the BM bouquets

To me it's just an easy and not too expensive way to make the grandmas feel honored. I could take them or leave them, personally. But I'm sure our grandmas know they're a "thing" and they'll be happy we thought of them.

I did the pearl bracelet (pinterest inspired) corsages for mom & MIL. No grandmothers were alive/able to attend so I only had 2 to buy for.

I did corsages for my MIL and Aunt (who is like a Mom to me). The florist did an awesome job and attached them to a nice bracelet that they could wear again. See if your florist offers that option.

Funny you ask - went to the initial florist meeting with my mom and FMIL. We got to the mom's flowers part and they both requested corsages!! I think it's prom-y but whatever they want! Smiley smile

I'm doing corsages for my FMIL and my dad's girlfriend (but not grandparents - between the two of us we only have one living grandmother).

I still see them some. I don't really like them though. We will probably do mini bouquets for my mom, grandmother, etc.

My FMIL last night asked me if she could carry a small bouquet of flowers...I said sure. Our florist offers a small bouquet (like...4 flowers), a wrist corsage, or a pinned one.

I made wrist corsages for my mother and now mother-in-law and they looked really good. It's what your wedding party and you are comfortable with. The corsages I made were 2 ribbon roses and a little baby's breath.

My grandmother and fmil are both wearing one. They are the ones in the top corner. FMIL wanted a wrist my gma wanted a pin. They are a nice elegant size.

All the florists we met with for consults offered them as an option, so I think they are certainly still popular especially for MOB, grandmothers, etc. My florist offered the options of wrist corsages, "pin on" corsages (really magnets, so they don't poke holes in dresses), or nosegay (mini bouquet). My FH and I just asked the ladies what they would prefer to have...my mom chose the nosegay and then my grandma and his groomslady chose wrist corsages.
