Are boutonnieres kept on for the reception?

K, on June 8, 2019 at 1:32 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

Probably a dumb question but can't find an answer... I am assuming boutonnieres are kept on the entire day?

I would assume so but I don't think I'd care if my groomsmen took theirs off after entrances and photos

Usually, but at most weddings I’ve attended the groomsmen take their jackets off right after dinner.

Yes, if the groomsmen have jackets they will probably take the jacket off at some point though which is totally fine during the reception

After photos, I think it's totally fine for boutonnieres to not be worn!

    Hi there K!

This isn't a dumb question Smiley smile

What would your GM be wearing the boutonniere on? If it's a jacket, as the PP's mentioned, many people take theirs off during/after the reception, so in that case, the boutonniere would technically be off!

If the boutonnieres are being worn on shirts or suspenders, they could potentially be on for the day! There's no strict rule on this Smiley smile

Would you rather they were worn all day?
