Are "Belly Bands" worth it?

So, I'm getting ready to send out my invites and, of course, last minute, I'm questioning whether or not I should've ordered belly bands to hold the suite together.

I ordered my invitations, RSVP Post Card, and Reception/Direction card off of minted. Inside the envelope there are really only three pieces of paper - the invite itself, the RSVP postcard (no envelope needed), and a reception card that lists the directions on the backside.

Thoughts? Opinions? Advice?

I can order a simple grey belly band off of weddingpaperdivas that has our wedding date and initials and it will be here next week. I wanted the invites out by June 25th, so guests could receive them by the first of July.

Let me know your thoughts, thanks!

NO! Don't get them! I did and it was a pain in the ass gluing them all together and getting them to line up. And they were more expensive. Many times I was going to throw them away and just get a sticker.

I bought a sample and totally HATED them. It's a waste in my opinion.

I remember reading someone had to pay extra for hand cancelling. Maybe check with your post office. Honestly I'd skip it.

Skipping! But I'm just doing a invite/RSVP, no reception or directions card because the reception is in the same location, and people have GPS. So I only have 2 pieces that are just getting shoved in an envelope Smiley smile

I bought some for about $10. Our invites already required the 2 ounce stamp so it didn't make a difference in that way. I think they look nice. Definitely not a necessity by any means though.

Someone else had belly bands and it put their postage over. The envelope holds everything all together, I think they're a waste.

I never knew that's what they were called, my mind instantly went to what my FSIL wore when she was pregnant lol

I would skip them like some pp suggested. In my opinion they're just a waste.
