Love this idea. Has anyone done this? Suggestions on fabrics to use or tips? Just want to make sure we get it right,

I'm trying to figure out a variance of this out too and Pinterest said PVC would work but I'll tell you what - it doesn't.

Really pretty! It looks like chiffon to me...but I'm not really sure.

My guess would be chiffon. Definitely not tulle. Tulle isn't very flowy.

Check out curtains. I think you have some creative freedom to pick a fabric you really like. If you like the greenage garland you can find that at most craft stores.

You can use any curtains! I recommend using them on a wooden arch (if your FH is handy he can construct one for cheap) or a cheap wicker or metal arch. I also like the idea of crossed draping, it adds a little extra. It looks like this:

Before you buy curtains at a retailer, check your local consignment store. You can often find a great buy for sheer drapery.

If you're going for exactly like the picture, it looks like you could get away with doing a high-quality garland. Keep your eye on Joann and Michaels - often times you can wait until there's a 40-60% off coupon.

I bought two bolts of white satin on Amazon for about $23 each. It was great and I didn't even have to sew them because i just did a rosette at each corner with a rubberband. The blue material was from Shindigz. They have a big variety of decor fabric. I would suggest checking it out also.
