Aquarium of the Pacific wedding cost?

Josephine, on November 20, 2013 at 1:30 AM Posted in Planning 0 19

Does anyone know a ballpark number for having a wedding at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach California? My boyfriend and I aren't officially engaged but are planning on being within the next few months and have started planning. I still feel a little awkward about going in a asking for information and pricing without the ring. We're planning on no more than 230 people for August or November of 2015...Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give!

Ahhh! I think I might be changing my April 2015 wedding date till November!

    but not sure yet.

and I looked at the prices not so long ago, I just know the ceremony prices are $1,000 for Sat. and on Friday or Sunday is $750

I didn't really contacted the sales management to find out more because I didn't really end up liking it so much as I thought I would.

Its extremely pricey. If you want a neat outdoor venue, may I suggest The Santa Barbara Zoo for something a little different..

Thanks ladies you guys have been very helpful! We're really hoping to stay under 15000 for the whole wedding so it looks like we're going to have to find another option :/ If any of you guys know of any decently priced venues in a LA area I'd love to hear of them! as for the Zoo I'm hoping not to have it as far as Santa Barbara Zoo but I like the idea

We looked into them too, wayyyy too pricey unfortunately. :/ A lot of places I felt like wouldn't be too bad were, and vice versa. Our wedding venue is at a country club, and it's actually one of the most affordable we found. So don't be afraid to look into places you think might be pricey.

It was so disappointing because this is the second place we've fell in love with just to realize it won't work...

    The Aquarium is expensive!!

Have you tried the long beach museum of art? The venue is beautiful and a good price.

We are having our wedding at a golf course. Saved us a lot and allowed to include a lot more. That could be an option since you have a big guest list with a $15000 budget.

    Best of luck!

I'm in Redondo! Not far from you! I feel for you because the Aquarium is a beautiful venue. If you can't do the aquarium for your wedding, maybe go there for your e-pics!

Talked to the FH today and we're going to try to lower our guest count to 150 at most, I hoping to talk him into lower but his family is huge and he wants everyone there. I'm going to look into the Long beach museum of art we didn't think of that! Good idea for the e-pics tho!

Have you looked into the Japanese Gardens at CSULB? So beautiful! Not sure about pricing though but anything in So Cal will be expensive. I highly suggest you cut your guestlist a lot.

FH and I decided on a Vegas wedding bc everything we liked in So Cal was way too much.

I've looked into the Japanese gardens and they just didn't fit with the type of style we want, we want something classic and elegant.
