Anything else to do in the months after the wedding?

Is pretty quiet and empty sometimes, I also miss planning but now I get to just sit and relax. The only thing I’ll say is collecting people’s picture. I love my professional photos but love seeing the guest side so if you haven’t yet that’s a good thing to do for your memories and phone albums.

We had our wedding in March, local reception in June, and that summer was the first over a year where we got to enjoy a good ‘ole movie & dinner. It was awesome. It was odd having so much freedom. 😝

If you registered, keep an eye on those completion discounts. Even after you’ve used up wedding gifts you may want to put your own money toward picking up some of the remaining items. If you haven’t already shared a few photos with your family and wedding party, that’d be great to do. I’m going to buy some flash drives to share some of my fav wedding photos with each of my bridesmaids. Other than that (and the name change, ack so painful, so happy you’re done there), life goes back to normal with a new holiday, your anniversary.

We got a discount on our phone bill and car insurance when we got married!! I would definitely check in to that. Maybe update your wedding website if you have one .. other than that i think you are on the right track! congrats

I know I'll be getting lots of sleep after this wedding is over! I also plan on buying anything else we need from our registry with the discount.

I miss planning too and it’s been 9 months lol. Nothing special to do besides plan your anniversary trip! That’s what I’m working on 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️. Discuss future plans? We’ve created a budget, combined bank accounts, changed beneficiaries..we’re done having kids so we’re working on buying a house and traveling. If you don’t have children yet, make sure y’all are on the same timeline if y’all want any!

Not much directly after. Changed my name and work things. Purchased some registry items from the registry like our roomba I picked hotel and booked honeymoon for January. We opened a bank account together. Pictures are done; so my next to-do is thank you cards with some pictures on it, send those out, and start creating the photo albums for both sets of parents. Then one for us of course but I'll focus on that one and prints after the honeymoon.

That's a great idea. I think we are going to gift some printed pictures for the holidays and just make an extensive album for ourselves. How big is your album you give to both sets of parents. Maybe we should do that instead...!
