Anyone Not having a bridal shower or bachelorette party?

I was just wondering if anyone else is leaving these wedding rituals out. I really have no desire to have a bachelorette party and as for a bridal shower, it would be fun but I only have one really good friend in this state with me and I can't afford to go to my hometown for it nor do I want to so I...

I was just wondering if anyone else is leaving these wedding rituals out. I really have no desire to have a bachelorette party and as for a bridal shower, it would be fun but I only have one really good friend in this state with me and I can't afford to go to my hometown for it nor do I want to so I am thinking of just skipping the festivities. This may upset my Flower Girl (who is stepping in with the MOH duties and is in her 40's by the way). I am just not sure what to do.

No bachelorette party for me. I don't really want a shower but my mother insists on having one.

I'm not having either... or at least I'm not planning either.

I live out of town from most of my family and those invited to the wedding so I'm not having a shower. I don't want all the stuff anyways, I don't really need stuff for my condo.

As for the bachelorette party, if I have time before my wedding when I'm back in town I might do something with my BMs. Perhaps go out for drinks... though I don't like going out for drinks. My ideal bachelorette party would be running around the zoo or science centre with my BMs. Smiley xd I'll see if any of them have time to come with me.

No shower and no bach parties here. I've had some pushback on the shower but we're trying to get rid of our things, not acquire more. Two days before the wedding I'm getting together with five of the girls I grew up with and we're going to a park in our old neighborhood (aptly named "Friendship Park") to swing on the swings and run around and play tag. It's totally juvenile and we regress completely when we're together but we've known each other from birth and I can't think of anything more fun or fitting since we're rarely together all at once (most live out of state). We were together every day as kids and they're my sisters, truly. Not an 'ette party for sure but a casual gathering.
