Anyone NOT getting a wedding band, and using only their e-ring??

I am having such a hard time finding a wedding ring I like with my e-ring. The thing is, I love it just the way it is. Years ago, when I pictured this ring, it was a marquise solitaire, and a 2 baguette on each side wrap, which then serves as your wedding band. Well, my ring we found is a marquise...

I am having such a hard time finding a wedding ring I like with my e-ring. The thing is, I love it just the way it is. Years ago, when I pictured this ring, it was a marquise solitaire, and a 2 baguette on each side wrap, which then serves as your wedding band. Well, my ring we found is a marquise center stone, with a baguette on each side. So, to me, it's perfect Smiley smile When I tried it on with one of Zales thinnest bands (2mm), it just didn't look right. I am worried a custom band will end up costing $$, and I am so OCD about the diamonds matching in a diamond band, I have yet to find one that would align up right with the baguettes I already have in the e-ring.

So is anyone else foregoing a traditional wedding ring, and *just* using their e-ring??

I also prefer my e-ring without the band, but he is anticipating wearing his wedding band like it's a new toy or something, lol. So I will be wearing mine on wedding day and forever.

For whatever reason most people thought my engagement ring was an engagement ring and wedding ring alone. My e-ring was purchased in Seattle and is platinum...when I went to look at the matching ring in DC, it just didn't look right so I nearly said screw it and gave up on finding a wedding ring that matched. Well, the shop in DC was showing me an aluminum band w/CZs vs platinum w/real diamonds. The shop in Seattle ordered the band and sent it to me...matched perfectly so I kept it. If it had not...I would have become an e-ring only girl though!

I'm planning on just using my e-ring, I think it's gorgeous on its own and I don't really want to spend the money to get a wedding band. As far as I'm concerned, just having your e-ring still gets the job done by showing the world that you're off the market lol.

I'm not a sticky-up diamond kind of girl, so I'll likely be getting a matching band to FH's and wearing my e-ring on my right hand after the wedding. We'll see about getting used to it lol

I am planning to only have my engagement ring, as my ring is an antique with lots of design so I feel a band would detract. The only reason I would get a band is to wear when we travel. I am always worried I'll lose it and my Fiance would not be happy about that. Smiley smile
