Anyone having a donut grooms cake?!

My fh decided on having a donut cake and I think it sounds fun and delicious.

The bakery I chose does make them for weddings but I think it's crazy to pay some one $ to stack donuts! I'm think maybe buying boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts and having someone arrange then on a cake stand before the wedding!

I am also a wedding vendor. I worked on a huge wedding last year at the Four Seasons, where the couple owned 30 Dunkin Donut's. The wedding was amazing, easily well over 100k.

I thought one of the coolest details of their wedding was their 'cake'. It was a stacked donut cake. I loved it!

I've never seen one, but I would definitely just do it myself or have someone do it for me rather than paying a bakery.

No, but a girl I talked to at work today, attended a classmates wedding in Charleston, SC this past weekend and the wedding cake was donuts.

I never even knew "grooms cakes" existed until Wedding wire. Knowing FH, I know he wouldn't one especially if it cost me money...

We're leaning towards one for his cake! But FH wants an actual cake-sized yeast doughnut. And I'm not sure if that's even a thing, without spending waaayyyy too much money!
