Anyone have suggestions for making a bridal shower fun and not boring?

I told my mom that I absolutely do not want a shower, but she said that is out of the question! I always find them a bit stuffy. Anyone do anything unique for theirs?

I don't know if it is because I haven't really been to many showers, but I enjoy them...? My SILs was a bit boring for me, but the last two that I went to were both fun! I enjoy playing the games. I will have about 3 games, sangria, beer, and a taco truck will be making lunch.

There is a glass blowing studio here that does that kind of party too. I love the idea!

The ones I found boring were the ones u really did not know anyone but like one person and even then not that close. The games can be fun but you also have to have the attitude that they are fun. If you have the attitude of this is going to suck, of course it's going to suck.
