Here is a picture of the cupcake wedding cake that was the inspiration for my wedding cake. Mine had 210 cupcakes and an 8" cake on top for us to cut, and it cost around $150 including the tower. If you don't need as many cupcakes, it will cost a lot less.

This is the link to a cupcake tower that holds 100 cupcakes for only $26, if you don't need that many cupcakes you can make the tower smaller by not putting one of the layers on it.

You can decorate it with ribbon, or spray paint it.

    Hope this helps!

Hmmm .... well since you already told them $50 then you are kind of stuck ...

About a loan, I seriously and honestly would think about it ... especially only $1000 but please make sure you are making a plan of how to pay back any amount of a loan you may take out ... and FYI most banks will require a minimum of $5000 to be taken out ... I had to take out a school loan for my last semester of undergraduate because my roommate bailed on me and left me with a 2 bedroom apartment that cost 1200 a month! and my federal loan was not enough to cover it because I've always been good about taking out just the bare minimum ... how about a low interest credit card?

And I noticed your date isn't until May, what about holding off till March and just saving som extra money? I mean only send in the deposits you MUST send in but wait till March to do everything else?

My budget is $2k. We are having a small wedding, DIYing almost everything, got my dress at the $99 sale at Davids Bridal, my bridesmaids and other ppl are buying their own attire (except Im buying their shoes and if they need alterations), Getting married at our church, having reception at the town civic center, small cake and 60 cupcakes, very little flowers, minimum decorations (mostly things we already had, just adding things to them to match them good), having a candy buffet for favors (using my already owned jars), bought a $60 and $80 wedding bands at walmart, going to walmart, thrift stores, dollar tree, yard sales and www.theknot.com for alot of stuff, having dress pants and button down shirts instead of tuxs/suits,

The loan will defiantly be able to be covered after the wedding. we are guaranteed a grand after the wedding, so paying it off will not be a big deal. we already have 2 credit cards we are trying to pay off and those are almost maxed out due to unexpected costs. it is higly un likely we are able to save much if any more (as it looks at this second) i am not working and it is HARD to find a job in my area fh is working 2 jobs barley making enough to support us, i have sold 90% of my stuff in order to make extra cash its just not doable. i have given up my dream wedding for my nightmare of a wedding! i cant do this anymore! im tired of skimping out on EVERYTHING! and not getting a single thing i want! i guess the next cut is the attire...

There are alot of things you could do... you just need to learn to ask your family for help... nothing major but have you thought about just doing a big bbq or potluck picnic.. the day is about marrying the man you want to spend your life with the rest is just pure fluff!!!! .... personally I'd get married in jeans and flip flops if thats all we could do.. I've already told my guest come as comfortable as you want if they are most comfy in shorts and a tshirt I could care less... do not make yourself miserable on what should be one of the happiest days of your life... seriously if you have to go to city hall and grab a blanket, bottle of wine and sandwiches for a picnic.. just make it your own and enjoy it!!! NO wedding is worth getting upset or going in debt over... hope things get easier for you.. don't stress so much it makes you old and bitter very quickly... just remember whats important the rest will fall into place as best it can.

Family refuses to help with any reception costs. we are thinking about cutting that totally out. i have totally given up my dream wedding. i gave that up less than a week after the engagement. i told mom that all i wanted was to have the wedding at this one place and she said no because its to far to drive(its actually closer than the now wedding spot). i told her if we could have the wedding there i dont care about ANY extras ill go to good will and get the cheapest dress and shoes, ill go pick weeds out of the front yard as flowers and well call it done! but because she and my other family refused to drive i think i deserve the second best!

I'm sorry that you feel so deflated right now. This is supposed to be a joyous occasion. I have faith that you can pull it off with the help of the WW ladies. What exactly is your vision? I think that you should probably talk to your friends about your financial situation. Maybe they will be a little more understanding.

Not to be disrespectful but honestly it sounds like ur mother has issues that go far beyond you or your wedding... you do realize you have plenty of time to have the wedding you want... if anything serve your cupcakes and tea or drinks for a reception but make it what you want and if your mother or whomever is not willing to make it ur day then let them skip it... which regardless of what she says your mom seems like to much of a nosey body (again no disrespect intended well maybe a little) to miss it... I feel for you and if I knew your mother I'd sit her down for a reality check... this is your day not hers...maybe you should put off your reception... have a small wedding with those closest to you that support your marriage and then when you can save up have a vow renewal so you can have ur dream wedding. right now whats important is that you marry the man you love... mom may mean well I don't think she is trying to be hurtful she's just opinionated, but its ur day!

Hey there! I had a wedding for under 2000 :-) It was small town Iowa though...we cut back on a lot of misc things that weren't needed. If you have any questions feel free to pm me. Simplistic decorations go a long way.

Yes, Nicci! It is possible to have the wedding for 2,000. I did it, but the facility I used for both the wedding and reception (catered and decorated) is no longer in business. In my situation, the cost stayed low because we did not have a bridal party at all. This way we spent our money on the most important parts, the ceremony, and the reception food and drink.

For chairs, you could see if you can borrow or rent from a church or school.

I don't really get why you have $200 budgeted for a suit, most tux places rent the grooms tux for free if the other guys all get theirs from the same place. So, you could save $200 by getting a free tux instead of a suit!

My mother did that same thing to me and we moved the wedding to where she would be willing to drive which really upset FH. It is hard when your own family is not helping. My sister offered help then bailed to go salmon fishing. My mother is irritating about the drive. FH's family is coming from Georgia and Panama to our wedding in Indiana to be there for us. Some families are just better than others.....At least I am marrying into a loving one. I hope you are too.

It really is teeming with scams on the internet, really not normal. In one week I lost 500usd for payments. I had inquiries made ??at Dandy Cash.com came just disappointed. I would recommend anyone to advertise on the site.I've only tried it a different website, and when I had finally found someone who was still honest (*****.************@*****.***) Because he asked me in advance, but doubted he could give evidence and so I took the risk anyway and I was able to borrow from him. 30000usd,please don't email anybody said to be a loan lender in this website because they are all scams, they disappoint me and run away with my 500usd,Mr Steve Mcclaren is the only one i trust because he gave me the loan i needed,,please do not email anyone in this website because they are scams they pretend to be loan lenders they rip people of their hard earned money the USA Attorney General Of Police are searching for this guys in the internet right now so don't email this guys please they will rip you off like they did to
