Anyone get married in San Juan, Puerto Rico in October or November???

Late October you should be clear of hurricane season, if not officially. I'm from PR, but not getting married there. However, there have been a few PR brides on here that may be able to help. Have you already booked with the Caribe Hilton?

We haven't booked anything yet...however, we would like to in the next couple of days! There are so many options it just seems overwhelming!

Well, you've picked a great island, I can say that much! Try using the search on the right to look for PR weddings -- like I said, there's been a few, and you might get some ideas from those posts while the other PR brides find this one.

I'm also having a DW not in PR though, check out bestdestinationwedding.com there is a HUGE forum over there with tons of DW brides. There are alot of PR brides over there too! Best of luck!

We recently married in Carolina and know Rae R. is getting married in PR in Oct.

My advice is to hire a planner.

I am just eloping in PR in September so don't need much planning, but I am having difficulty figuring out the affidavit requirement. Did you all have a lawyer type up the affidavit or a notary public? Did you get it apostilled by the state?

"Any person who is not a resident of Puerto Rico and wishes to get married on the island must present for Demographic Registry a copy of an affidavit stating that he/she: (1) are not residents of Puerto Rico, (2) that the purpose of your visit is for marriage, and if a foreign citizen, will not stay in Puerto Rico for more than what is specified in the permission documents to enter U.S. territory granted by the appropriate federal agency. If the affidavit is written in the United States, it must be accompanied by certification of the corresponding state’s "county clerk"."
