Anyone get a custom-made dress on Etsy? Sellers name?

Be careful, as there are a lot of dresses from China on there, so definitely do a lot of research, because getting your money back could be difficult.

I ordered my dress from an Etsy store. It's called TheodoraJames. (I returned it for alterations without taking pictures. I know, silly me.) So far, it's been a great experience, and the designer has been great to work with. The need for alterations was because I changed my mind about something, not because of an error. The designer sent me swatches of the fabric and lace, and I had professional measurements done. She sent me ample additional pictures of her work, including seams, zippers, hems, etc. She modified one of her existing designs from floor-length lace to tea-length satin for me.

I was about to get a custom dress by PolinaIvanova. But I found one that i loved for about the same price that i was able to try on. I recommend that you message the seller multiple times and ask them any questions that come to mind. Return and alteration polices, where is the dress being shipped from, ask how much it will cost to get a fabric sample. The more questions you ask the better feel you can get if they take pride in there work. Also look up the store name on google :]]

I want to add that PolinaIvanova answered all my questions in a timely manner and sent me tons of pictures of her other work, she is a great dress designer.

I got my wedding dress from RenzRags (based in San Diego.) It was a chiffon bridesmaid gown that I ordered in white, so it works for me! Very affordable and good quality

My bridesmaids dresses were made by The House of Recollections. Research the people and make sure what they are selling is actually their craft and not people trying to replicate designer dresses for cheap. Because that's exactly what you'll get. I also purchased my veil through Veiled Beauty.
