Anyone find a decent template (or spreadsheets) for comparing venues?

I found them either too simplified to consider all necessary factors, or so detailed they made my eyes boggle.

In the end, I just added up all the potential costs for each venue and worked out what the total per-person cost would be, assuming X number of guests. I had columns for each type of cost (lighting, cake, flowers, dj, linens, tableware, staff, etc) So I had 'standard' estimates I plugged in for venues that didn't include that service. It meant I had to get spec quotes from rental companies, bakers, florists and caterers so I could compare the total cost of semi-inclusives with the more DIY venues. But it was worth it, as it demonstrated the DIY venues were actually pretty expensive in the end!

That's exactly what i'm finding out too... but I need to see it to really "get it"

I've been trying to do the same thing... I ended up creating one myself - cost, wedding cake included?, appetizers, food offered, bridal suite, wedding night suite, etc. I also tossed in a rating from my fiance and mine based off our initial visit. The highest ones get our attention for a second visit with our moms for a second opinion.

I ended up making a spreadsheet and all the different tabs were different venues priced out completely for 50, 100, 150, 200 and 300.

Oh I didn't think to add an overall rating! I like that idea
