Anyone Feel Comfortable Sharing A Boudoir Pic or Two??

GoneAndMarried, on November 18, 2014 at 3:31 PM

So, I just booked a boudoir session with my photog (super excited!!) but its not until next spring. Which is fine by me, as I will be working hard towards getting my body together for it. In the interim, I am so excited to start buying pearls, boy shorts etc for it! So, tell me, what did you buy??...

Im dying to see "real life brides" versus just the stock photos on Pinterest or whatever.

I really would love to do one! My biggest concern is finding a photographer that I could be comfortable with. Definitely not a male photographer, I don't know why, but I don't think I could really be comfortable with that. I don't know if I will do one, but I reallly want to! I even have cute ideas for it and everything..

I didnt do a session for our wedding, I did it for My FH 21st b-day present... & I was feeling pretty good about them...until I saw those gorgeous ladies... I'm still willing to share though.. I didnt buy anything, I used stuff I had lying around my house & his fav shirt, a blue blanket and the help of my sister & mother.

    I had so much fun.

I did these for my husbands wedding gift. I do have some with a veil, but unfortunately, I can't share them. I signed a contract saying if it was on the internet, the pictures had to be stamped. These are the only two stamped, since he has my permission to put them on his website.

I had some done a few years ago as a gift for another occasion. My photographer was amazing. He was male but made me feel totally comfortable and I brought a friend along to help me relax and just enjoy. The photos were stunning but his business skills were terrible. He thought he had lost the file with all my photo for a few weeks and finally found it later but had lost all the selections we had made. What should have taken a month to get back to us (his original timeline) took almost six... I also never got the large print I was supposed to but for the trouble he had thrown in a number of smaller prints (in the size of my photo book) so I just decided I was done and ended contact with him.

I was able to do as many outfit changes as I wanted. I did about six changes and he said he had people come in who did MANY more then that. He did a lot of my posing for me as well which was helpful as I had no idea what I was doing.

Sure why not Smiley smile I can't encourage people do this enough. I had seriously the best experience ever. I was extremely nervous, because I am a 'curvy' gal... but man, I felt so sexy during my photo shoot. The ladies made me feel like I was a rockstar.

Do it. When else will you have a great excuse? Plus, it is kindof a fun gift for YOU too! And Hubby LOVED it.

Oh also- get a shot with your veil and garter- I did one with a veil which I loved, but I didn't bring my garter and I wish I had, I have seen some with gals wearing their wedding garter, and those are super cute!

You all look fabulous! I always like the idea of boudoir photos definitely plan to do one. I'd better get booking if I want to do it for early spring. I may give it to FH for his 35th b'day and/or save the some (another album/or special framed pic) as his wedding gift.

You ladies all look so beautiful!

I did these as a surprise deployment gift a couple years ago but I think I want to do some more "bridal" ones next year. Here are a couple of mine. I just took his military jacket and some lingerie that I already had at home. We shot these at the photographers house because her bedroom looked kind of bed and breakfast type. She had the boa, pearls, and any other props I used.

Ahhh, he's been asking me forever to take photos like these and I think I'm finally gonna be ready to!! Question for you gals who have done it already...how much did it cost? I have no clue and I want to make sure we'll have enough money for it!
