Anyone Feel Comfortable Sharing A Boudoir Pic or Two??

GoneAndMarried, on November 18, 2014 at 3:31 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 42

So, I just booked a boudoir session with my photog (super excited!!) but its not until next spring. Which is fine by me, as I will be working hard towards getting my body together for it. In the interim, I am so excited to start buying pearls, boy shorts etc for it! So, tell me, what did you buy?? What kind of poses did you do?? Are you willing to share a pic?? Id love to see! Im dying to see "real life brides" versus just the stock photos on Pinterest or whatever.

I didn't do a bridal one, but I did do one last year as a gift for my fiancé. I can send you some of mine if you give me your email or something - being a teacher I don't want to risk them being found if I post on a public forum!!! It was tons of fun and wasn't really awkward at all!

Edit: I totally skipped your questions: the photographer mostly posed me, I didn't go in with any ideas of my own. For what I wore, I picked up some fancier lingerie from VS and wore that for some poses, others I wore a shirt of mine that he always liked l, and them we are both big car people so I wore my Summit racing shirt for a few. Those were his favorite!

I did some for valentines a few years ago. I bought boy shorts from VS that said "make my day" on the butt, cheetah heels, a blazer, long necklace, and a tight skirt with mesh like top. They were a big hit with him. I also brought baby oil and lathered up in that. I did quite a few in just the black blazer, necklace, boy shorts and heels. Those may have been his fav. We took them in an old warehouse so I had lots of graffiti and stuff in the background. I just remember that every pose she put me in felt so awkward but when she showed me on the camera they looked so badass! Just try and enjoy it. The wine for sure helps!!

Congrats! It will be an amazing experience!

I bought lingerie from Victoria’s Secret and some nice heels. I was also mostly posed by my photographer (who was amazing) and I am very happy with how my pictures turned out. I did have a Pinterest board that I shared with my photographer and he took some of my ideas and posed me accordingly.

My photographer rented a room at a bed and breakfast which was perfect!

I brought with some things that relate to DH’s hobbies such as his motocross jersey, pants, and gloves.

Here are some of my pics – Enjoy Smiley smile

@Sarahdell those are beautiful.....very tasteful. Absolutely love them. I am hoping to have enough guts to have one done (spring also) and love the idea with the dirt bike jersey as my man is an avid rider. Thanks for sharing!

    Sarah those are awesome!

I really want to do this but I'm going to wait until closer to the wedding. I bought FH a custom hockey jersey when we first started dating with his last name and #15. I want to do something with that since it will be my new last name and the year we get married.

I did a shoot a few years ago when I was taking pole dancing fitness classes. A lot of the poses were on and around the pole, but I thought I could help with the wardrobe piece. I wore boy shorts and a red corset and a black tutu in a few shots. Also had a pair of sparkly black heels. Not sure where the CD of pics is or I'd post a pic. I think the shots can be a lot more fun if the clothes you wear are fun and quirky and not necessarily lingerie or part "real" clothes and part lingerie. Making something sexy that isn't usually seen that way and/or your guys clothes takes it to a whole new level, or at least according to my guy. Good Luck and have fun!

I booked mine for April of next year! While I'm nervous, I have done one before for FH for valentines day. They were taken by a friend and even at a non pro level, he loved them! I can't wait to have pro ones done in a real studio. I get two outfit choices so I'm thinking all white lingerie with my veil and some of my wedding jewelry and for the black I'm not sure yet! Maybe a crop top, boy shorts and high heels! Just have fun with it and relax cause at the end of the day FH will love any picture of you, especially these ones!

I did one this summer, we actually did it outside around some old buildings. I was going for a more organic feel.
