Anyone experience something happening to their dress on their special day ? My strap broke!

Was very disappointed as my dress was 1650 dollars and top designer.
Luckily my friend has a sewing kit!

My bustle broke twice so i ended up carrying the train with the wrist strap all night (super heavy ball gown). Not ideal, but i made it work.

The hook and eye on my gown got stuck on my hair so I just pulled it hard and it ending up puncturing my skin and I was so distracted I didn’t realize I bloodied my dress until my husband asked if I got my period. Yes, my love, I’m mensturating from my upper back

My MIL had her zipper break and had to be sewn into her dress. I guess the look on FILs face when he got handed scissors and was told "You're gonna need em later Smiley winking " was priceless

I had ALL the problems haha and I spent $1,600 on the dress and another $700 on alterations. One of my straps broke (fixed with a safety pin), my bustle broke (end of the night so I just carried it) and the corset boning inside my dress snapped (not fixable).

Oh man I didn't have problems with the dress itself but I definitely lost weight because it fit that week but in the day of it felt so loose

Im so sorry to hear that. My dress just did not fit like it did at my final dress fitting. It was just too big and I tried it on and it was perfect 5 days early. I take it in stride. Lol. Grateful to have had the day in the first place, a gorgeous dress and an amazing outcome Smiley love

My bustle broke and fortunately I had included safety pins in the ladies' bathroom basket so we used those to fix it. By the end of the night the bottom layer of my hem was shredded from my heels.

My dress kept on getting snagged on the rough wooden floors of my venue and one of my bustle pickups kept coming undone. Also, the bottom of my dress was FILTHY after we took our first look photos in a park. My DOC said my photographer would Photoshop the photos...

The loop for the bottom layer of my bustle broke which was super annoying. I waited longer to bustle it than I really wanted to though, so it's probably my fault that it broke. My mom was able to rig something up with the big loop meant to help hang the dress but that fell down eventually.

My straps were way too big! My mom ended up pinning the dress to my bra - I then had to be unpinned to change at the end of the night. Other than people stepping on the bottom of my dress everything else was fine.

One of the buttons for my bustle ripped through the tulle, so a little piece of my dress ended up dragging the rest of the night because I forgot safety pins. But I don't think many noticed, and it was after we were done with pictures.
