Anyone ever done or seen a fake send off

I really want the pictures of us running out of the reception with our guests waving sparklers BUT we aren't actually leaving early and most of our guests will probably be gone before we are. Has anyone done a fake send off for the pics?

A friend did a fake send off after the ceremony and the photos didn't look posed or fake. I am also doing a fake send off before we all take a party bus to the reception. That way all the guests participate and we have send off photos. If we did it at regular send off time I'm not sure who all would still be around or look halfway decent and sober in the photos. Lol.

We did a "send off" of sorts early. We exited the ceremony and took a few photos with our horse and carriage while our guests lined up to the side of the ceremony area (on a pretty brick pathway that led from the little road to the venue; maybe 100 yards). The carriage brought us from the back of the aisle/gazebo to the side. We walked through our guests blowing bubbles, and ended up back in the gazebo to say hello to everyone. It ended up perfectly! We did not do an exit, so these were our cute exit-esque photos

Well.. I am all about a good photo op.. so who cares if its fake or not.. if your guests don't mind doing it that is! ... they can "send you off" .... to another room... temporarily =)

My cousin did this at her wedding, she had the DJ announce it and it went well! we all went back inside and kept the party going! My photographer suggested this cause she doesn’t wanna stay until 11pm, so we might do it!
