Anyone else not remember their wedding? lol

Nicole, on July 24, 2019 at 1:27 AM Posted in Married Life 0 7

I remember pieces of it, but its as true as everyone else claimed, "it was all a blur". I feel like I did not get to dance as much as I thought I would or wanted to... I did not get as many pictures with friends and family with my own personal camera lol, I did not get to talk to everyone, I did not get to sit down and eat for more than 10 minutes.... I did not even get one group photo of the wedding party because my crazy self forgot all about it lol. Is this true to weddings? The married couple really doesn't remember the wedding like the guests do? I feel cheated but I Know everything went smoothly

I've hard this, too, and we're having a small wedding so we can spend time with our guests beyond greeting and thanking them!

I have seen pictures of weddings at my venue and thought "hmm I wonder if my cheese display looked like that?" Lol! I have a lot of great memories but it did go by in a flash! I've been married for 40 days now! It feels like the wedding was ages ago. I am just waiting on my pictures (the photographer has up to 60 days). I feel like I'll remember more of my wedding when I see them. I think I got to talk to everyone but I'm unsure of one couple.

I felt this too. It went by way too fast, and it was the same for me for everything you just described. BUT we immediately started moving into a new house after the wedding / honeymoon, so I really haven't had that much time to sit and reflect, lol.

It definitely felt that way. There were so many things I didn’t get to do or see or pictures that didn’t get taken, etc. I wish I could do it all again without all of the preparing for it. Lol

I actually felt the opposite! I remember every minute of mine. Obviously there was stuff I didn't know happened so therefore have no memory of - like one of my bridesmaids having to sit down during the ceremony because she felt a little wobbly (4 months pregnant). I was mid-vows so wasn't watching what they were doing lol. But I think maybe because I expected to remember so little, my brain made a point to burn every visual into my brain lol.
