Anyone else not get "getting ready" pictures?

I'm not getting them done either but not necessarily for that reason. I guess it just depends on whether or not someone actually tells the photographer to start shooting (like after their make up is on). No idea. Never thought of it.

I’m getting them done but more of getting “dressed up” pictures we will all be in our robes with our hair and makeup already done take a few cute pictures together putting on lipstick cheersing with our personalized cups I think they’re cute but definitely will not take anything sans makeup lol

Lol. It's amazing how makeup can make photos to from unseemly to cute.

I’m not getting actual pictures of getting makeup done or anything, just getting into my dress and pictures of us in the brides room.

I just did pictures of me getting in my dress. The only “getting ready” picture I got was one shot of me finishing getting my makeup done. No regrets!

I’m considering my “getting ready” pics to consist of me already having hair and makeup done putting on my dress and my shoes, also taking pics with my girls and my mother while they help me get ready in the bridal suite

We're still a ways out, but I'll probably have a couple toward the end of "getting ready" since we have our photographers contracted for 9 hours. We're not doing a send off, so they won't need to stay for the entire reception. I'm not sure I'll want a bunch without makeup, but it could be fun seeing the whole process in pictures.

Not getting them. I am sure someone will take a picture on their phone.

I’m not having the photographer take any get ready pictures. I may have a friend take some pictures on my phone. I’m not having a bridal party and we are taking most of our photos early in the morning. The photographer will only be there to take pictures of the ceremony and pictures with the guests aftewards

I’m not doing them. I have horrible anxiety when it comes to people I haven’t known forever. Our photographer is the sweetest person but I still would feel awkward or like I would have to entertain/be a host to him. Which I know I wouldn’t but that’s just my messed up thought process lol. I don’t see anything wrong with not doing if you don’t really want them.

Initially I was totally going to skip them, but we added more hours to our photography budget so we’re probably going to get a few towards the end of getting ready time, like other posters have said, so we can have the whole day documented start to finish. I don’t wear any makeup on a daily basis so I don’t care if I get any photos without makeup on 😂

I definitely don’t want any without makeup or early in the morning, but more so towards the end of getting ready like putting the final touch of my lipstick, etc. as those can make for nice pictures. Other than that, I’d like to have me getting in my dress captured, I find that’s a special moment and a few of me and my girls in our robes and some candids of us hanging out/sipping champagne just to look back on as memories.

I am not getting them done .... i rather have my pictures for our first look and bridal party and the party not on getting ready

I’m with you on this one, Jane. I do t want pictures of me with my hair a mess in a robe.

I'm still kind of torn about this. I don't really want pics of me without hair and makeup but at the same time it might be cool to see the transformation. Still thinking about it. I've got time.

I would go for it! You'll regret not having pictures of your transformation. Not to mention it would be nice to give friends and family cute pictures where you aren't all dolled up.

I chose not to have getting ready pictures either. Mostly because I don’t have a wedding party to have cute pictures with and I’d rather have y finished self in a photo. Lol!

I don’t get those either. I wouldn’t want them in my album. We skipped getting most ready pics because we bought a smaller/cheaper photo package. Just before first look pics, the photographer snapped a few with my mom & sister (who pretended to button me up). But we all had our makeup/hair done already & dressed.

Yeah, I'm not having my photographer around for getting ready photos. I might want her to take a dress photo when I'm getting into it though! Or putting on last minute touches like jewelry.

I am looking forward to taking these pictures actually lol
