anyone else HORRIBLE with surprises?

kaylarae, on May 8, 2014 at 12:07 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 10

I am the worst when it comes to surprises! I have such a hard time keeping them because I just get SO excited that I just wanna say something! this past Christmas I was pretty good about not giving anything away to FH about gifts. This Easter since I was gonna be back in Canada I put together a basket for FH and even hid things for a hunt and kept it a secret until easter morning so I was really proud! haha

My best friend/MOH is the same way. Usually we tell each other EVERYTHING so she's having such a hard time keeping the shower/bachelorette a secret. She really wants me to be surprised but the poor thing might just explode because she's so excited!

Anyone else like this?

I'm bad at surprises! I'm having a surprise bday party for FH this Saturday, but he's really upset because he thinks the wedding is overshadowing his bday this year. I want to tell him so he'll stop being so sad, but I'm holding strong (mostly because he's OOT for work)!

I'm bad with surprises concerning me. Like FH will tell me he has a surprise for my birthday. Dont care that its a month away, I want that shit now.

With other people though, I have a better handle on it, (I have more fun planning the surprise then being on the receiving end of them).

Oh, I can keep surprises from others, but I get angry if someone is keeping one from me. Surprises give me such anxiety, haha!

Count me in. I'm horrible. It makes playing Santa for your kids impossible too.

I'm bad at being surprised - I can keep them but I always tend to figure them out when they're for me. My mother has told me that she doesn't even want my shower to be a surprise because she knows I'll figure it out.

I'm terrible! If someone has gotten me a gift (birthday/Christmas) I want to know right away what it is. I was the kids unwrapping stuff and re-wrapping it to see what it was. When I get something for someone, I want to tell them right away and I hate waiting to give it to them. DH is so patient and completely the opposite in this and it drives me nuts lol.

A good example... I picked him up some doughnuts from his favourite bakery on the way home today and even though he will be home in an hour and I want to surprise him, I keep having to resist the urge to text him to tell him about them.

Me!!! I planned a surprise mini-moon for us and wasn't planning on telling FH until right before the wedding but I told him last week. Sigh...he was very happy and I did make him guess about where we were going but still...I suck.

Ummm! I've already told FH two of his birthday presents. His birthday is still two months away.

I'm not the best either. I got word this morning that my best friend's boyfriend is going to propose June 1. I want so badly to tell everyone (shh no one tell her!) and I want to start asking her wedding questions! But I can't, it will be worth it to see the look on her face though!
