Anyone Else Graduating & Getting Married?

I finished my PhD about 5 months ago, FH finishes his in May and we are getting married in June.

@OP, I took a Bar Skills course my last term of 3L year. There was a book they had us get called "Pass The Bar!" and there was a chapter in there for preparing spouses/significant others/family for what to expect from you during bar prep, and tools to manage stress in the household. See if your school library has it. It is by Denise Riebe and Michael Schwartz. Bar prep is an intense 2.5 month period, and can put a strain on a relationship so I recommend you and your FS read that chapter to prepare yourselves.

I graduated from nursing school on Friday and I am getting married 3/25 so just over a month between the two!

Im starting my first year as a Special education teacher and planning a wedding. Insane!

I'll be done with grad school the week after our wedding..

I graduate from med school, move across several states, get married and start residency all in 2 weeks! Am right there with you all, you crazy ladies!

Im getting married 4/22 which the week before finals of my last semester.

@Coffee, DH and I almost broke up during our bar summer. It was awful. We were trying to maintain some semblance of normality in our relationship while staying with his parents and managing them. They didn't understand that we couldn't just sit and chat for hours or that if his mom came into the room where we were studying and talked at us, it was distracting. They also didn't understand that they couldn't schedule us for family events. There were several that they expected us to go to. It was rough.

Next year will be marrying and graduating with mu PhD! It will be hectic! Hopefully though I will defend a few months prior.

Congratulations to you!!!! I am not as close as you, but I'm graduating May 12th, getting married September 30th.

I'm not graduating, but we are BUILDING a house and breaking ground right around our wedding, so I'm equally bat-shit crazy. RIP my wallet.

One minute I'm making decisions on what my bridesmaids are wearing and then next I'm trying to decide which heating method for our new home is going to better and not 8 trillion dollars haha.

FH will be between 1/2L on our wedding day! Short honeymoon and then off to his summer internship end of May!

My finals are on May 3, and getting married May 13! I'm with you, it's so much!

I'm graduating nursing school in May and getting married in June.

Wow! I just finished my 2L year when we got engaged and I refused to plan the wedding during law school or the bar exam, so we held the wedding off until 17 months after I graduated law school. That way I could finish my 3L year, study for bar exam (and pass), get a job, then focus on wedding planning. I can't imagine how stressful that is.

Recent grad

Getting married this April and FH graduates in June. I have done almost all of the planning so there really isn't much extra on his plate as far as wedding stuff. I couldn't imagine planning the wedding while I was still in school.

I'll be graduating in December 2018 with a Masters in Clinical MH Counseling and getting married in March 2018. I'm the opposite!

Defending thesis in march, graduating in may, getting married in June!
