Anybody going barefoot?

Pam&Joe, on May 25, 2016 at 10:31 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 26

So I'm really short 4'10" and my FH is 6'2". I know that if I go barefoot our pics will look super funny but I have seen the barefoot sandals and think they are super cute!! Anyone else just going barefoot and if you are would you wear the sandals?

They're not gonna look funny. Cause everyone looking at them is gonna go "look at that beautiful, in love couple. awww." and not be concerned with the height gap. You wanna barefoot it up, do it! Also, I've never heard of barefoot sandals but those feet are pretty rad.

I don't think it'll look funny. I'm 4'11" and FH is 6'4". I'm not wearing heels because I want to stay true to us. I love those sandals though, I want them! Lol

Me me! I'll be wearing barefoot sandals for the beach ceremony and then some blinged out flip flops a after that! I'm only 5'0 and my FH is maybe 5'8, so not a huge gap, but barefoot is what I've wanted from the beginning

I'm 4'11 and FH is 5'8. I wearing a pair of sandal similar to what you posted.

After the ceremony I'll change into flats.

I think your pics will be fine. It's a true representation of who you are Smiley smile

No but I did have my dress hemmed as if I'm going barefoot. My shoes are low wedges. I'm 4'11'' and FH is 5'11''

I recently officiated a wedding where the bride is even shorter than I am (5'3") and the groom is tall. Before the ceremony started, someone placed a decorated footstool in place for the bride to stand on. Everyone got a chuckle when she walked down the aisle and then hopped onto the stool. Made her the perfect height for kissing him at the end of the ceremony!

I am getting barefoot sandals but I wont be wearing them during the wedding. I will have some pictures taken in them because my granny always called me the barefoot contessa growing up because I would never wear shoes. Shes passed away so I will be doing the pictures for her. The barefoot sandals and a great pedicure will look nice Smiley smile

Hey, any barefooters getting married on the beach... have a back up just in case the sand is HOT. That happens a lot, especially for any sort of warm beach in the summer.

On Siesta Key the sand is so white it reflects the heat and stays cool all summer!

Super beautiful - go for it! The pic confused me at first because of the fake feet! Lol

I'm 5'1 and he is 6'4. I want to wear heels but he doesn't want me to. He thinks it'll be weird to have me look him in the eyes when I'm usually looking at his arm pit lol

I'm 5'2 FH 6'5. I will 100% be wearing heels because I personally think we look ridiculous in pictures when we are standing next to each other. After the ceremony I'm switching to flip flops to dance and enjoy myself. But those sandals are super cute.

I'm convinced I will look like a child bride in our photos. I'm 5'5", he's 6'1" (not that big of a difference), but both my bridesmaids are over 6' (without heels) and his GM are tall too. It'll be fine Smiley tongue

5'1" and he is 6'3" also going with barefoot sandals, also looking into some fun flip flops. I'm always short so might as well run with it.
